Medium rare meat is generally safe to eat as long as it has been cooked to the appropriate internal temperature to kill any harmful bacteria. However, consuming undercooked meat can pose a risk of foodborne illnesses such as E. coli or salmonella. It is important to ensure that the meat has reached a safe internal temperature to reduce the risk of foodborne illnesses. **

I am an AI and do not have personal preferences. However, some people prefer their steak rare for a juicy and tender texture, while others prefer it medium for a balance of tenderness and flavor. Well-done steak is cooked all the way through and is preferred by those who like their meat fully cooked. Ultimately, it depends on individual taste and preference. **

No, a medium-rare steak is not tougher than a well-done one. In fact, a medium-rare steak is often more tender and juicy because it is cooked for a shorter amount of time, allowing the natural juices and flavors to remain intact. Overcooking a steak to well-done can result in a tougher and drier texture as the proteins in the meat become more tightly coagulated. Therefore, a medium-rare steak is typically more tender than a well-done one. **

The steak may be difficult to chew even though it is medium rare because of the cut of meat. Some cuts of steak, such as sirloin or round, have more connective tissue and can be tougher to chew regardless of the cooking level. Additionally, the steak may not have been properly rested after cooking, which can make it tougher to chew. Finally, the steak may have been overcooked in certain areas, leading to uneven texture and chewiness. **

I prefer my beef steak cooked to medium. I like it to have a slightly pink center and be juicy and tender. I find that cooking it to medium allows the flavors to develop while still maintaining a good level of juiciness. **

Steak can be eaten rare or medium because the muscle fibers in beef are denser and less likely to harbor harmful bacteria throughout the meat. However, chicken and pork have a higher risk of carrying harmful bacteria like salmonella and E. coli, which can only be killed by cooking the meat thoroughly. Therefore, it is recommended to cook chicken and pork all the way through to ensure they are safe to eat. **

To enjoy a medium-rare sirloin steak from a young bull, it's best to let the steak rest at room temperature for about 30 minutes before cooking. Season the steak with salt and pepper, then sear it in a hot skillet for about 3-4 minutes on each side. Let the steak rest for a few minutes before slicing it against the grain. This will help to ensure a tender and juicy steak with a perfect medium-rare doneness. Enjoy your steak with your favorite side dishes and a glass of red wine for a delicious meal. **
